Material is the foundation of everything we make. Before a single pattern is cut, we source the fabric — and we source it from the best, wherever that happens to be. Our textiles and hardware travel across multiple countries and continents before they reach our ateliers, because the right raw material is never a compromise we are willing to make.

Our selvedge denim is woven on shuttle looms in Okayama, Japan — a region recognized globally for the density, texture, and depth of its indigo. We also work with heritage mills in Portugal and Italy for heavier canvas, tailored wools, and shirting. Each bolt of fabric is selected for weight, hand feel, and how it will age: denim that fades with character, canvas that softens without losing structure, wool that holds a drape for years.

Hardware and trims are sourced with the same rigour. Solid brass buttons and rivets are imported from specialized foundries, leather patches are vegetable-tanned in European tanneries, and thread is specified by weight and fibre to match the demands of each garment. These components move across borders — raw cotton from one country, finished fabric from another, hardware from a third — and converge in our workshops where they are assembled into a single piece.

This international supply chain is not a shortcut; it is the only way to build clothing to the standard we hold ourselves to. We import the finest raw materials, and we export finished garments to customers around the world. Every shipment, every origin, and every partner is traceable — because you should know exactly where what you are wearing came from, and why it is the way it is.
